Just Ahead of Diwali, founder Mukesh Ambani announced revamped tariff plans for Jio under the DhanDhanaDhan offer. The new tariff rates came into effect starting from Oct 19 for both the new and existing users. If you’ve missed out on the new developments in the Jio tariffs, here’s everything you need to know: –
Below are the details of therevamped tariff plans and how it’s different from the previous tariffs.
Rs 52 plan:Previously the cheapest Jio Plans were priced at Rs 19 and Rs 49. Now those plans have been discontinued and the new Rs 52 plan was introduced. This plan offers 1.05GB of 4G data with a daily limit of 0.15GB. Under this plan, you can also enjoy unlimited local, STD to all operators along with 70 SMSes both local and STD. The Rs 52 plan comes with a validity of 7 days.
Rs 98 plan:The previously existing Rs 96 plan was revamped to Rs 98. The Rs 96 plan used to offer 7GB of data with 1GB of FUP limit for 7 days. However, the newRs 98 plan offers 2.1GB of 4G data and unlimited local and STD calling facility with validity for 14 days. Additionally,this plan also offersa daily FUP limit of 0.15GB and 140 SMS.
Rs 149 plan:This plan has also been revamped in terms of usage. Jio earlier offered 2GB of 4G data along with unlimited voice calling facility for 28 days with no FUP limit. However, under the new Rs149,you get 4.2GB of 4G data along with unlimited local and STD calls. The daily FUP limit under this plan is 0.15GB. However, the validity of 28 days has been kept the same.
Rs 399 plan: This plan previously offered 84GB of 4G data for 84 days with a daily FUP limit of 1GB along with unlimited voice calls. However, the revamped Rs399 plan offers you less. Under the new Rs 399 plan, you get 70GB of 4G data for 70 days with a daily FUP limit of 1GB data with unlimited local and STD SMS.
Rs 459 plan:The old Rs 309 and Rs 349 were discontinued and a new Rs 459 plan was introduced. This plan offers 84GB of 4G data for 84 days along with unlimited voice calls and SMS and a FUP limit of 1GB data.
Rs 509 plan: Previously the Rs509 plan offered 112GB of data with 2GB FUP limit along with unlimited voice calls for 56 days. However, after the revamp, this plan offers you 98GB of 4G data with a daily FUP limit of 2GB and also unlimited voice calls and SMS.
Rs 999 plan:This plan earlier offered 90GB of data and unlimited voice calls for 90 days. However, the new Rs 999 plan offers 60GB of 4G data for 90 days with no set FUP limit along with unlimited voice calling services and SMS.
Rs 1999 plan: The earlier offering under this plan was 156GB of 4G data with unlimited voice calls and SMS for 90 days. However, the renewed offerings under the plan are 125GB of 4G data along with unlimited voice calling services and SMS for 180 days. There’s no FUP limit for this plan.
Rs 4999 plan:Previously this plan offered 380GB of 4G data along with unlimited voice calls and SMS for 210 days. Since the revamp, you can get 350GB of 4G data for 360 days along with unlimited voice calls and SMS under this plan. There’s no FUP limit for this plan.
Notably, the revised tariffs are either priced higher than earlier plans or the validity and FUP limit has been decreased. However, there are certain plans like the Rs 149 plan which now provides enhanced services for the same recharge amount.
